Job Title: Principal Big Data Architect

Salary: $135 Per hour

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Big Data Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Principal Big Data Architect, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design, development, and implementation of our company's big data solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the success of our big data initiatives and driving innovation within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement big data solutions that meet business needs and align with the company's overall strategy.
• Lead the architecture and design of complex big data systems, including data ingestion, processing, and storage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to understand requirements and develop solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve the efficiency and scalability of our big data infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain architectural standards, principles, and guidelines for big data systems.
• Ensure the security, availability, and integrity of big data systems by implementing best practices and monitoring tools.
• Mentor and coach junior team members in big data technologies and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in big data technologies and apply them to improve our systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing and implementing big data solutions, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.
• Experience with cloud-based big data solutions, preferably on AWS or Azure.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex big data projects on time and within budget.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications in big data technologies would be an added advantage.
