Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. As the Lead Data Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of our data systems, ensuring their efficiency, reliability, and scalability. You will work closely with our data engineering team to design and implement data solutions that meet our business needs and drive innovation. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of our data systems, including data ingestion, processing, and storage
• Develop and implement data management policies, procedures, and standards
• Monitor and maintain the performance, reliability, and security of our data systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve any data-related issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data solutions that meet business requirements
• Lead and mentor a team of data operations engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success
• Identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our data operations
• Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and data lineage
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data operations and bring new ideas and technologies to the team
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data science, analytics, and business stakeholders, to understand their data needs and provide solutions
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to any data-related emergencies in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Proven experience in managing and leading a team
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI is a plus
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala is a plus
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools is a plus
