Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Big Data Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data operations and management, with a deep understanding of big data technologies and tools. As the Lead Big Data Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our big data infrastructure and ensuring the smooth functioning of our data pipelines. You will also be responsible for managing a team of data operations specialists and providing technical guidance and support to ensure the success of our big data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of data operations specialists to ensure the smooth functioning of our big data infrastructure.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of our data pipelines.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of data.
• Develop and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for data operations processes.
• Continuously evaluate and improve our data operations processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Identify and implement new tools and technologies to improve data operations and management.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members to ensure the successful execution of big data projects.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in big data technologies and tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data operations and management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of big data technologies and tools, such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Kafka.
• Experience with cloud-based big data platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proven experience in managing and troubleshooting data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools is a plus.
