Job Title: Principal Performance Test Engineer

Salary: $270000 - $310000

Job Summary: Our company is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Principal Performance Test Engineer to join our team. As the Principal Performance Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing performance tests for our software applications. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify performance issues, analyze data, and provide recommendations to improve the overall performance of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance testing and a passion for delivering high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop performance test strategies, plans, and scripts for our software applications.
• Execute performance tests and analyze the results to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with development, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams to understand the software architecture and identify potential performance issues.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure performance timelines and goals are met.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to improve the overall performance and scalability of our products.
• Develop and maintain performance testing tools and frameworks.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in performance testing and automation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in performance testing and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or NeoLoad.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, New Relic, or Dynatrace.
• Solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus.
