Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Junior Information Security Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of our information security systems and protocols to ensure the protection of our organization's sensitive data and assets. As a Junior Information Security Engineer, you will work closely with our senior engineers to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in the field of information security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in our systems.
• Monitor network traffic for any suspicious activity and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security measures and controls to protect our systems and data.
• Stay updated with the latest security trends and developments and make recommendations for improvements to our existing security protocols.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
• Participate in incident response and disaster recovery activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in information security or a related field.
• Knowledge of network security concepts, protocols, and tools.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI DSS.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus.
