Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $115 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge platform that powers our products and services. You will work closely with other members of the engineering team to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop our platform using best practices and modern technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture design, data flow diagrams, and API specifications
• Write efficient, reusable, and scalable code to ensure the stability and performance of our platform
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and consistency
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues and provide timely resolutions
• Continuously monitor and optimize the platform for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in platform engineering to drive continuous improvement and innovation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in platform engineering or a similar role
• Strong experience with software development using modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go
• In-depth knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proficiency in using containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, ELK stack, or Splunk
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality products
