Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of firmware solutions for our products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define firmware specifications.
Develop and maintain firmware architecture and design documents.
Write efficient and high-quality code in C/C++ for embedded systems.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of firmware code to ensure functionality and reliability.
Work closely with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with hardware components.
Develop firmware validation and verification strategies and execute them.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior firmware engineers.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and standards related to firmware development.
Proactively identify and troubleshoot any issues or bugs in firmware code.
Ensure compliance with relevant coding standards and best practices.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure firmware meets the highest quality standards.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Lead and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance the firmware development process.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in firmware development for embedded systems.
Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++.
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and communication protocols (e.g. SPI, I2C, UART).
Strong understanding of firmware architecture, design, and development principles.
Hands-on experience with debugging tools and techniques.
Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
Knowledge of hardware design and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Project management experience is a plus.
Any experience with wireless protocols (e.g. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) is a plus.
