Job Title: Junior DevOps Specialist

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $69 Per hour

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior DevOps Specialist to join our team. As a Junior DevOps Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our development and operations teams by implementing and maintaining our DevOps processes and tools. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software development and a passion for automation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand their needs and requirements for DevOps processes and tools
• Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows for software builds, testing, and deployments
• Develop and maintain monitoring tools and systems to ensure the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure
• Identify and troubleshoot issues in the development, testing, and production environments
• Implement and manage configuration management tools to ensure consistency and reliability across environments
• Work with cross-functional teams to plan and execute software releases
• Continuously evaluate and improve processes and tools to increase efficiency and productivity
• Maintain documentation of processes, procedures, and configurations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in software development or systems administration
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and scripting languages such as Bash and Python
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
• Familiarity with cloud computing and infrastructure as code tools such as AWS, Azure, or Terraform
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
