Job Title: Lead Software Release Manager

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $123 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Release Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Lead Software Release Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the release process of our software products, ensuring smooth and timely deployments to our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure that our software releases meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain release plans, schedules, and strategies to ensure successful and timely delivery of software releases
• Collaborate with software development and QA teams to ensure that all necessary software components are ready for deployment
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of release documentation, including release notes and user guides
• Identify and mitigate any potential risks or issues that may arise during the release process
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on the status of releases and any potential impacts on project timelines
• Act as a point of contact for any release-related inquiries or issues from clients or internal teams
• Continuously evaluate and improve the release process, implementing best practices and tools to streamline and optimize the process
• Lead and mentor a team of release managers, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software release management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering software releases on time and with high quality
• Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, including Agile and DevOps
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Experience with release management tools and processes, such as version control, automated builds, and deployment pipelines
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
• Knowledge of software testing and quality assurance processes is preferred
• Experience in the software industry or a related field is highly desirable.
