Job Overview: As the Lead Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our platform infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of software engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team towards the successful implementation of our platform roadmap. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI, and other engineering teams to ensure our platform is highly scalable, reliable, and performant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of platform engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of our platform infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain a high-level platform roadmap and ensure its successful execution.
• Define and implement best practices for platform development, including coding standards, code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Proactively identify and address technical debt and scalability issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies and make recommendations for platform enhancements.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Expertise in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• In-depth knowledge of database systems and data modeling.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Trello.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
