Job Title: Principal Cloud Developer

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $135 Per hour

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Cloud Developer to lead the development and implementation of our cloud-based applications and services. As a Principal Cloud Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to support our growing business needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth delivery of our cloud solutions and provide technical guidance to junior developers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement cloud-based applications and services in alignment with business requirements and technical standards.
• Lead the development and deployment of scalable and reliable cloud solutions to support our growing business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges and provide technical guidance and support.
• Ensure the security, availability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure by implementing best practices and regularly conducting audits and tests.
• Develop and maintain documentation for our cloud infrastructure, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our cloud solutions.
• Coach and mentor junior developers to foster a culture of learning and growth within the team.
• Participate in code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize our cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of experience in cloud computing.
• Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based applications and services.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in programming languages, such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong understanding of security principles and experience implementing security controls in a cloud environment.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines and configuration management.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to coach and mentor junior developers.
• Certification in cloud computing, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator, is a plus.
