Job Overview: As the Lead Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our company's databases. You will work closely with our development team to ensure the smooth integration of our software applications with our databases. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a deep understanding of database systems, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of developers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement database structures that meet the needs of our software applications
• Collaborate with the development team to understand and analyze business requirements
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures
• Perform database optimization and tuning to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions
• Lead and mentor a team of database developers, providing guidance and support as needed
• Develop and implement data security measures to protect sensitive company and client information
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends, and make recommendations for improvements
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability
• Monitor database performance and capacity, and make recommendations for improvements as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of database projects
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality and efficient code

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Developer, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role
• Strong technical skills in database design, development, and maintenance
• Proficient in SQL and experience with databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes
• Knowledge of database security and disaster recovery best practices
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
