Job Description: As a Principal Game Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our games. You will be responsible for leading a team of game testers and overseeing the testing process from start to finish. Your main objective will be to identify any bugs, glitches, or other issues that may affect the gameplay experience and work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of game testers, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest level of quality in our games.
• Develop and implement test plans and strategies for each game, taking into consideration all aspects of gameplay and user experience.
• Conduct thorough and detailed testing of games, including gameplay, graphics, sound, and user interface.
• Identify, report, and track any bugs or issues found during testing, using bug tracking software.
• Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues, providing clear and concise feedback.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the testing process, making improvements and adjustments as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in game testing methodologies and technologies, and implement them into our testing process.
• Mentor and train junior game testers to improve their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in game testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of game design and development processes.
• In-depth knowledge of various gaming platforms, including PC, console, and mobile.
• Proficient in using bug tracking software and other testing tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise feedback.
• Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of player expectations.
