Position: Lead Data Security Analyst

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $123 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Data Security Analyst to join our dynamic team. As the lead analyst, you will be responsible for protecting our organization's data and ensuring the security of sensitive information. You will be a key member of our security team, working closely with other analysts and management to develop and implement robust security strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data security, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data security policies, procedures, and guidelines to safeguard the organization's data assets.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate them.
• Monitor security systems and tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption software, to ensure they are functioning effectively.
• Investigate security incidents and breaches, and take appropriate actions to contain and remediate them.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security gaps and develop solutions for improving the overall security posture of the organization.
• Lead the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the organization's data is protected in the event of a security incident or natural disaster.
• Provide guidance and support to other members of the security team, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices, and make recommendations for implementing new security technologies and processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data security role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
• Strong understanding of data security principles and best practices, including encryption, access control, and data classification.
• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Professional certifications in data security, such as CISSP or CISM, are highly desirable.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
