About the Role: As a Senior Release Manager, you will be responsible for managing the release process and coordinating the delivery of software products to our customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, software developers, quality assurance engineers, and product managers to ensure timely and high-quality releases. You will also be responsible for continuously improving the release process and implementing best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage the release schedule for all software products, including major and minor releases, hotfixes, and patches
• Work closely with project managers to define release objectives, timelines, and dependencies
• Coordinate with software development teams to ensure that all code changes are properly tested and meet release requirements
• Collaborate with quality assurance engineers to plan and execute release testing activities
• Communicate release status and issues to stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and customers
• Implement and maintain release management tools and processes to enable efficient and effective releases
• Lead post-release reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies related to release management and incorporate them into the release process
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior release managers and team members
• Develop and maintain release documentation, including release notes and deployment instructions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in release management, project management, or a related role
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex software releases in a fast-paced environment
• In-depth knowledge of release management tools and processes
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor team members
