We are seeking an experienced Principal Release Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Principal Release Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the release process for all software and technology updates within our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, quality assurance, and project management to ensure timely and efficient delivery of software releases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain release management processes and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient software releases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain release schedules, including identifying dependencies and potential roadblocks.
• Communicate release status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
• Coordinate and facilitate release planning meetings and provide updates on release progress.
• Manage and track all release-related activities, including planning, testing, and deployment.
• Review and approve all release-related documentation, including release notes and deployment instructions.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with software releases, and develop contingency plans as needed.
• Ensure all release activities are in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Continuously improve release processes and implement best practices to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
• Mentor and guide junior release management team members, providing training and support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in release management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with software release management tools and processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle and quality assurance processes.
• Experience with DevOps and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.
