Job Title: Principal AI Infrastructure Engineer

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $270000 - $310000

Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Principal AI Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team. As a leader in the field of Artificial Intelligence, we are constantly pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our cutting-edge AI systems. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our AI infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AI technologies, as well as a strong background in software engineering and system administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance infrastructure for our AI systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop solutions that meet the needs of our AI applications.
• Develop and maintain tools and processes to monitor and optimize the performance of our AI infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the AI infrastructure, including performance bottlenecks, system failures, and capacity planning.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI infrastructure and implement best practices to continuously improve our systems.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers to ensure the successful delivery of projects and the growth of team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on infrastructure development.
• Extensive knowledge of AI technologies, including deep learning, machine learning, and natural language processing.
• Strong understanding of system administration, including cloud computing, virtualization, and containerization.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
