Salary: $152000 - $192000

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Migration Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Database Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and executing the migration of databases from legacy systems to new platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of database architecture and strong technical expertise in data migration techniques. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex database migration projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies for database migration, including data mapping, data cleansing, and data integrity checks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, requirements, and timelines
• Conduct thorough analysis of legacy databases to identify potential risks and areas for improvement
• Design and execute test plans to ensure data accuracy and completeness post-migration
• Utilize various tools and technologies to extract, transform, and load data into new databases
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the migration process
• Develop and maintain documentation for all migration processes and procedures
• Continuously monitor and optimize database performance to ensure maximum efficiency
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to database migration

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Migration Specialist or a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of database architecture and data migration techniques
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with various database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
• Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration processes
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
