Job Title: Junior Threat Intelligence Specialist

Salary: $114000 - $144000

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Junior Threat Intelligence Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on potential security threats to our organization. You will work closely with our senior threat intelligence analysts to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for staying ahead of emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from various sources, including SIEM, threat intelligence feeds, and internal systems.
• Identify and assess potential security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to the organization.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on emerging threats and provide actionable recommendations to senior analysts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security measures and controls to mitigate identified risks.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, tactics, and techniques, and proactively identify potential gaps in our security posture.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external threat intelligence partners and share relevant intelligence with internal teams.
• Prepare and present threat intelligence reports and briefings to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Participate in incident response activities, including threat hunting, incident containment, and remediation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our threat intelligence program by identifying and implementing process enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably in threat intelligence.
• Strong understanding of common cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, such as NIST, CIS, or ISO.
• Experience with security monitoring tools, such as SIEM, threat intelligence platforms, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful insights.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications, such as Security+, CEH, or GIAC certifications, are a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
