Job Summary: Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead API Integration Specialist to join our dynamic team. As the Lead API Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of API integration projects, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance. You will also be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to our team of developers and ensuring the successful integration of APIs across various systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, API integration, and project management, along with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all API integration projects, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and develop integration strategies.
• Design and develop APIs using various programming languages and tools, such as Java, Python, and Postman.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of APIs by following best practices and conducting thorough testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to API integration, working closely with the development team.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the development team, including code reviews, mentoring, and training.
• Monitor and track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in API integration technologies and make recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including API specifications, user guides, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners to integrate their APIs into our systems.
• Act as a subject matter expert on API integration and provide advice and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on API integration.
• Proven experience in designing and developing APIs using Java, Python, or other programming languages.
• Strong understanding of API protocols, such as REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.
• Experience working with API management tools, such as Postman, Swagger, or Apigee.
• Knowledge of database technologies, such as SQL and NoSQL.
• Experience with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team of developers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
