Job Title: Principal Cloud Security Specialist

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $135 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Cloud Security Specialist to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of our cloud security strategies. You will play a critical role in ensuring the security of our organization's cloud infrastructure, applications, and data. As the Principal Cloud Security Specialist, you will be a subject matter expert in cloud security, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive security initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain our organization's cloud security policies, procedures, and standards
• Lead the design and implementation of our cloud security architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential threats and develop mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security requirements and implement appropriate security controls for our cloud infrastructure, applications, and data
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends, and proactively implement measures to protect against them
• Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to other team members on cloud security best practices
• Monitor and analyze security logs and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to educate employees on cloud security best practices
• Participate in incident response and recovery activities as needed
• Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of our cloud security strategies and make recommendations for improvement as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud security, with at least 5 years in a leadership or principal role
• Extensive knowledge of cloud computing platforms, specifically AWS and Microsoft Azure
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, network security, and data protection
• Experience with security compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC 2
• Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are highly desirable
