Job Overview: As the Principal IoT Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of our IoT solutions. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver high-quality IoT solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Your technical expertise and leadership skills will be critical in driving the success of our IoT projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of IoT solutions, including hardware, software, and firmware components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct research and stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in IoT technologies
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Ensure the timely and successful delivery of IoT solutions, meeting all project milestones and objectives
• Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure the functionality, performance, and security of IoT solutions
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing technical expertise and addressing any questions or concerns
• Identify and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during the development and implementation of IoT solutions
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and partners
• Provide regular progress updates and reports to senior management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years of experience in IoT
• Strong experience with IoT protocols and technologies such as MQTT, CoAP, and LoRaWAN
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and Python
• Experience leading and managing a team of engineers
• Extensive knowledge of hardware design and embedded systems
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
