Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the data infrastructure and systems, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
• Work closely with the data engineering team to design, develop, and implement data solutions that meet business needs.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of data pipelines, ensuring they are scalable and performant.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop custom solutions.
• Develop and implement data quality and governance processes to ensure data integrity.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering trends, tools, and technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Mentor and guide junior data engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
• Assist in defining and implementing data engineering best practices and standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database design principles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, Scala).
• Experience with data pipeline tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or Airflow.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of machine learning and data analytics concepts.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Certifications in data engineering or related fields.
