Position: Senior Data Engineering Manager

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $123 Per hour

Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Data Engineering Manager to join our team. As a Senior Data Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented data engineers and ensuring the successful delivery of data engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of data engineers and provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to help them grow and excel in their roles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and identify data engineering solutions to support them
• Design, develop, and maintain complex data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure reliable and efficient data flow
• Oversee the implementation of data quality and data governance processes to maintain the integrity of our data
• Develop and maintain data architecture and data models to support business needs and enable data analysis and reporting
• Keep up-to-date with emerging data technologies and trends and evaluate their potential to improve our data engineering processes
• Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes, data sources, and data flows
• Work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure the availability of high-quality data for analysis and reporting purposes
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the scalability, performance, and efficiency of our data engineering processes
• Provide timely and accurate updates on project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Proven experience in leading and managing data engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of data engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Proficient in SQL and experience with data modeling and data warehousing
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Experience in Agile methodologies is a plus
