Position: Junior Data Lake Engineer
Location: New York, New York, United States
Salary: $69 Per hour

About the role: We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Data Lake Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-growing team. As a Junior Data Lake Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data lake infrastructure and processes to support our data-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data lake infrastructure that is scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to ingest data from various sources into the data lake.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide them with the necessary tools and data sets.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data lake performance and implement solutions to optimize performance.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data governance processes and conducting regular data audits.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data lake technologies and trends and make recommendations for improvements to the data lake infrastructure.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement data lake use cases that drive business value.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
- Experience with data lake technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive.
- Strong understanding of SQL and database design principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or DataStage.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
