Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement robust, scalable and secure data lake architecture
Develop data ingestion pipelines from various sources into the data lake
Design and implement data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data
Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures
Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand data requirements and provide data solutions
Perform data transformations and data modeling to support reporting and analytics needs
Monitor and troubleshoot data lake performance and identify areas for improvement
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and analytics
Mentor and guide junior data engineers in best practices and standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data lake alignment with business goals and objectives
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
Develop and maintain technical documentation for data lake infrastructure and processes

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or data warehousing
Strong expertise in data lake architecture, design, and implementation
Proficient in SQL, Python, and/or Java
Experience with cloud-based data lake platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices
Hands-on experience with data modeling techniques and data transformation tools
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
