Salary: $171000 - $208000

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Lake Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Data Lake Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing an efficient and scalable data lake infrastructure to support our organization's data analytics needs. This is a critical role in our company, as the success of our data-driven initiatives relies heavily on the effectiveness of our data lake architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the data lake architecture.
• Design and implement a robust, secure, and scalable data lake infrastructure that can handle large volumes of data from various sources.
• Develop data ingestion processes to extract, transform, and load data from different systems into the data lake.
• Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and security within the data lake.
• Monitor and optimize the data lake performance, troubleshoot any issues, and implement necessary improvements.
• Work closely with data engineers and data analysts to understand data usage patterns and develop data models to support various analytical needs.
• Stay updated with the latest data lake technologies, tools, and best practices and make recommendations for their adoption to improve the data lake infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the IT security team to ensure data privacy and compliance with data protection regulations.
• Lead and mentor junior data lake team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related role.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing data lake architecture using technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Experience with cloud-based data lake solutions, such as AWS or Azure.
• In-depth understanding of data governance, data security, and data privacy principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, is a plus.
• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Certified Data Professional (CDP), are preferred.
