Job Description: As the Lead Data Lake Architect, you will be responsible for architecting and overseeing the development of our data lake infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design scalable solutions to store, manage, and analyze large volumes of data. You will also be responsible for setting up data governance policies and ensuring the security of our data lake.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of our data lake infrastructure, including data ingestion, storage, and processing.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and design efficient solutions.
• Develop data governance policies and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Optimize data lake performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve data lake capabilities.
• Mentor and train junior team members on data lake architecture best practices.
• Work closely with the IT and security teams to ensure data lake security and disaster recovery plans are in place.
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide timely updates on data lake projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years in a lead role.
• In-depth knowledge of data lake architecture and design principles.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling.
• Experience with cloud-based data lake solutions such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of data governance and data security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
