Salary: $152000 - $192000

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Software Release Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Software Release Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases for our company's products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely releases, meeting the needs of our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize and manage software releases, ensuring that all changes are properly documented and communicated to stakeholders
• Work closely with development, quality assurance, and project management teams to understand release requirements and timelines
• Develop and maintain release schedules, coordinating with all necessary parties to ensure on-time delivery
• Identify and escalate any potential roadblocks or issues that may impact release timelines
• Conduct risk assessments and contingency planning to mitigate potential release risks
• Utilize automation tools to streamline the release process and improve efficiency
• Develop and maintain release documentation and processes, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible
• Continuously evaluate and improve release processes to optimize efficiency and quality
• Communicate release status updates to stakeholders and provide post-release support as needed
• Participate in release retrospectives to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in software release management or related role
• Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies
• Experience with source control systems, such as Git or SVN
• Proficient in scripting languages, such as Bash or Python
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
