Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $247000 - $288000

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions to support our business needs. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the seamless integration of our applications into the cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud-based solutions to support our business needs, including infrastructure, storage, networking, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cloud-based solutions that align with business goals and requirements.
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure architecture documentation, including diagrams, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, ensuring scalability, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, including network connectivity, security vulnerabilities, and system failures.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in cloud technologies and make recommendations for improvement.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud-based tools and services to enhance our infrastructure and operations.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud-based systems.
• Manage relationships with cloud service providers and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
• Train and mentor junior team members on cloud architecture and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure architecture and design.
• Strong understanding of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Chef, or Ansible.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• In-depth knowledge of networking and security principles and best practices in a cloud environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with agile methodologies and working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Certifications in cloud technologies, such as AWS Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, are preferred.
