Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's databases, including database design, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Develop and implement database policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data integrity and security.
Manage a team of database administrators and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects and tasks.
Collaborate with the IT department to identify and implement new database technologies and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Monitor database performance and make recommendations for optimizations and upgrades to enhance the user experience.
Develop disaster recovery and backup plans to ensure the availability of critical data in case of system failures or outages.
Conduct regular audits of the database systems to identify and resolve any issues or vulnerabilities.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand their database needs and provide solutions to meet their business requirements.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the company's database operations.
Train and mentor team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of years of experience in database management, with at least years in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of database management systems, such as MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
Experience with database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with disaster recovery and backup strategies.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Proven track record of managing and developing a team.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
