Salary: $171000 - $208000

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT Monitoring Specialist to join our dynamic team. As the IT Monitoring Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our company's IT systems by monitoring and analyzing our network and computer infrastructure. You will play a critical role in identifying and resolving any issues or errors that may arise, as well as implementing preventative measures to maintain the overall health and performance of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze the performance and functionality of our network and computer systems to identify any issues or errors
• Develop and maintain effective monitoring tools and processes to ensure the continuous operation of our IT systems
• Implement proactive measures to prevent and mitigate potential issues or errors
• Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve any identified problems or errors
• Document and report on system performance, issues, and resolutions
• Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and tools to continuously improve the monitoring process
• Train and educate team members on best practices for monitoring and maintaining IT systems
• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users as needed
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of network and computer systems, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, or Zabbix
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotations
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA, MCSE, etc.) are a plus
