About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Application Security Specialist Lead to join our team and take charge of our application security program. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of security specialists in identifying and mitigating potential security threats to our company's applications. As the lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of application security specialists in conducting security assessments and vulnerability scans on our company's applications.
• Develop and maintain secure coding standards and guidelines for our development teams to ensure secure coding practices are followed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and processes to mitigate potential risks.
• Perform code reviews and provide remediation guidance to development teams to address potential security vulnerabilities.
• Work closely with the IT and engineering teams to integrate security into the application development lifecycle.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices to continuously enhance our application security program.
• Conduct regular security training and awareness sessions for employees to promote a security-conscious culture.
• Lead incident response efforts in the event of a security breach or incident.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on the application security program and address any concerns or questions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application security, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and common web application vulnerabilities.
• Experience with security tools such as static code analysis, dynamic application security testing, and vulnerability scanners.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations such as OWASP, NIST, and PCI-DSS.
• Familiarity with application security frameworks such as SANS, BSIMM, or SAMM.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, or GIAC are a plus.
