Job Title: IT Monitoring Lead

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $115 Per hour

Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced IT Monitoring Lead to join our dynamic team. As the IT Monitoring Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the monitoring of our company's IT infrastructure and ensuring its smooth operation. This is a crucial role in our organization as it plays a significant role in ensuring the stability and performance of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain monitoring strategies and procedures for all aspects of our IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, applications, and databases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key performance metrics and thresholds for monitoring
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify any potential issues or incidents and take proactive measures to resolve them
• Configure and maintain monitoring tools and applications to ensure accurate and timely data collection
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into the health and performance of our IT systems
• Conduct regular audits to ensure that monitoring systems are up-to-date and functioning properly
• Train and mentor junior monitoring analysts and ensure their adherence to monitoring best practices
• Develop and maintain documentation for monitoring processes, procedures, and tools
• Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified through monitoring
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in monitoring technologies and make recommendations for their implementation in our organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT monitoring and management
• Proven experience with implementing and maintaining monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Experience with cloud-based monitoring solutions such as AWS CloudWatch or Azure Monitor
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, or MCSE are a plus.
