Job Title: Application Security Lead

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $138 Per hour

As an Application Security Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our company's applications. You will be responsible for leading a team of security professionals to identify, assess, and mitigate potential vulnerabilities in our applications. Your expertise in application security will be vital in protecting our company's sensitive data and maintaining the trust of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement application security strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our applications.
• Lead a team of security professionals to conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on our applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential security risks and provide recommendations for remediation.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest security trends, tools, and techniques to continuously improve our application security posture.
• Implement secure coding practices and provide guidance to software development teams on secure coding techniques.
• Conduct security awareness training for employees and promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
• Work closely with the IT team to ensure the proper configuration and maintenance of security tools and systems.
• Stay informed on industry standards and regulations related to application security, such as OWASP, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to application security policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application security, preferably in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of application security concepts, such as OWASP Top 10, authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding practices.
• Strong understanding of web and mobile application architectures and ability to identify security risks in various application layers.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Familiarity with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant security certifications, such as CISSP, CEH, or OSCP, are a plus.
