Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of our company's databases, including maintenance, upgrades, backups, and troubleshooting.
Develop and implement database policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data integrity, security, and availability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business needs and drive efficiency.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues to ensure optimal performance.
Lead efforts to optimize and tune database systems for maximum performance and scalability.
Manage database security and access controls to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for all databases.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to constantly improve database operations.
Train and mentor team members on database operations and best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration and operations.
Strong knowledge of database management systems, including Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
Experience with database architecture and design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Proficient in database security and access controls.
Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.
Experience in cloud-based database management is a plus.
