Job Title: Cybersecurity Operations Specialist

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $115 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our organization's information systems and networks. You will work closely with our IT team to identify and address potential security threats and vulnerabilities, as well as develop and implement security protocols and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze security events and logs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
• Investigate security incidents and provide timely resolution
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Conduct security assessments and audits to identify risks and recommend solutions
• Perform regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in our systems and networks
• Work closely with the IT team to ensure that security measures are integrated into our systems and networks
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and techniques to enhance our security posture
• Respond to security incidents and provide support during security breaches
• Conduct training and awareness sessions for employees on cybersecurity best practices
• Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure the security of our systems and networks
• Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity role
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and techniques
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus
