Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Big Data Platform Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Big Data Platform Designer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex data solutions that meet business needs. You will have a crucial role in the development of our big data platform, leveraging your expertise in data architecture, design, and development to deliver innovative and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop big data solutions that meet business requirements and align with overall data strategy and architecture
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Develop and implement data models, data flows, and data pipelines to support data integration and processing
• Identify and implement best practices for data governance, data quality, and data security
• Conduct data analysis and provide insights to inform data design and development decisions
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of big data solutions
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and tools in the big data space and make recommendations for their adoption
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing big data solutions
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles and best practices
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and data lakes
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus
