About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Big Data Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable big data solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for understanding the clients' business needs and translating them into technical solutions that utilize big data technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, data warehousing, and big data technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using big data technologies.
• Design and implement scalable and secure data architectures for large-scale applications.
• Build and maintain data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of data.
• Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to ensure the successful delivery of big data solutions.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of big data solutions to ensure efficient and high-performing systems.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in big data technologies and make recommendations for their implementation.
• Lead and mentor junior team members to ensure the successful delivery of big data projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of years of experience in data architecture, data warehousing, or big data technologies.
• Strong experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Kafka.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
• Experience with cloud-based big data solutions, preferably AWS.
• Excellent understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in leading and mentoring junior team members is a plus.
• Certifications in big data technologies such as Cloudera or Hortonworks are a plus.
