Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable and efficient big data solutions to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses to support data analytics and reporting.
• Optimize data processing and storage for improved performance and cost-efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, ETL processes, and data quality.
• Monitor and maintain the health, security, and integrity of our big data systems.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in big data technologies and tools.
• Train and mentor junior team members on data engineering best practices and techniques.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on big data solutions.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Hive.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
