Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of data engineers and analysts to ensure the efficient and effective management of our big data infrastructure.
Develop and implement strategies for data processing, storage, and retrieval to meet the needs of various stakeholders.
Monitor and optimize the performance of our big data systems, including data ingestion, processing, and storage.
Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain processes and procedures for data governance and data security.
Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to understand their data requirements and ensure the delivery of accurate and timely data products.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in big data technologies and tools and make recommendations for their adoption.
Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure the timely delivery of services and resolution of issues.
Train and mentor team members on best practices for data operations and ensure their professional development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in big data operations, preferably in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of big data concepts, data warehousing, and data integration techniques.
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong project management and leadership skills.
