Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and execute database migration projects, including data mapping, data extraction, data transformation, and data loading.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine the most efficient and effective migration strategy.
Develop and implement migration plans, timelines, and budgets.
Monitor and track the progress of database migrations and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the migration process.
Develop and maintain documentation of migration processes, procedures, and best practices.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration process.
Conduct post-migration testing to validate data accuracy and completeness.
Provide training and support to end-users on the new database system.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in database technology and make recommendations for process improvements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in database management and migration.
Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
Experience with database migration tools and technologies, such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and ETL.
Knowledge of data mapping, data extraction, and data transformation techniques.
Proven project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Experience with data security and compliance regulations.
Knowledge of cloud-based database migration is a plus.
