Position: Cyber Defense Architect Lead

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $138 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Defense Architect Lead to join our team. As the lead of our cyber defense architecture team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's cyber defense strategies and systems. You will work closely with our IT and security teams to ensure the protection of our company's sensitive data and assets. This is a senior-level position that requires a deep understanding of cyber defense technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain our company's cyber defense architecture, including network security, endpoint security, and cloud security systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective cyber defense strategies.
• Conduct regular assessments of our current security systems and identify areas for improvement.
• Design and implement new security systems and technologies to enhance our cyber defense capabilities.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities, and proactively recommend solutions to mitigate them.
• Lead and mentor a team of cyber defense architects, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop and maintain documentation of our cyber defense architecture and processes.
• Participate in incident response and lead investigations into security breaches.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in cyber defense architecture, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls.
• Extensive knowledge of endpoint security, including anti-virus, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management systems.
• Experience with cloud security, specifically in AWS and Azure environments.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, DLP, and IDS/IPS.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing effective cyber defense strategies and systems.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
• CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
