Salary: $138 Per hour

Job Overview: As the Data Lake Specialist Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data lake infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the data lake is optimized for performance, scalability, and security. You will also be responsible for managing a team of data lake specialists and providing technical guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the data lake.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies for data lake optimization, including data ingestion, storage, and retrieval processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design solutions that meet business needs
• Monitor and analyze data lake performance and identify areas for improvement
• Design and implement data governance policies to ensure data integrity and security
• Oversee the deployment and monitoring of data lake environments
• Manage a team of data lake specialists, providing mentorship, guidance, and technical support
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data lake technologies to continuously improve our data lake infrastructure
• Create and maintain documentation for data lake processes and procedures
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a similar role
• Proven experience with data lake technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or AWS S3
• Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices
• Experience with data governance and security protocols
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Relevant certifications in data engineering or data management is a plus
