Job Overview: As a Cloud Data Security Specialist, you will be responsible for securing all data stored in the cloud for our clients. You will work closely with our clients and internal teams to identify potential security risks and implement effective solutions to mitigate them. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing, data security, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data security policies and procedures for cloud-based systems
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate any security gaps or vulnerabilities
• Monitor cloud data access and usage to detect and prevent any unauthorized activities
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies to proactively address potential risks
• Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery planning to ensure data availability and integrity in case of a security breach
• Develop and maintain data encryption protocols to protect sensitive information
• Manage user access controls and permissions for cloud-based systems
• Conduct security awareness training for employees on best practices for data security in the cloud
• Assist with compliance audits and maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data security and cloud computing
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption methods
• Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, such as GDPR and HIPAA
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), are a plus.
