Key Responsibilities:

Develop original textile designs for a range of products including clothing, home decor, and accessories
Conduct market research and stay up-to-date with industry trends to inform design decisions
Work closely with the design team to develop concepts and collaborate on design ideas
Create detailed design sketches and present them to the team for feedback and approval
Select appropriate materials and color schemes for each design
Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create digital versions of designs
Communicate with manufacturers to ensure designs are produced accurately and meet quality standards
Attend trade shows and other industry events to network and gain inspiration for new designs
Collaborate with other departments such as marketing and production to ensure designs meet company goals and objectives
Maintain an organized and up-to-date library of designs and materials for reference

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Textile Designer
Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design styles and techniques
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other design software
Knowledge of different textile materials, manufacturing processes, and techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Detail-oriented with a strong eye for color, pattern, and texture
Passion for textiles and a strong understanding of current trends
Ability to adapt to changing design needs and priorities
