Responsibilities:

Design and implement art lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to the needs and interests of students
Teach students various art techniques, styles, and mediums including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media
Demonstrate and guide students in the proper use of art materials and tools
Provide individual and group instruction to students, giving constructive feedback and encouragement to enhance their skills and creativity
Encourage students to explore their own ideas and express themselves through art
Plan and organize art exhibitions or showcases to display students' artwork
Collaborate with other art instructors to develop and improve the art curriculum
Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions to stay updated on teaching methods and techniques
Communicate with parents or guardians to provide updates on students' progress and discuss any concerns
Maintain a clean and organized art studio, ensure the safety and proper use of equipment, and follow all health and safety guidelines

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Art Instructor or similar role
Strong knowledge and skills in various art techniques and mediums
Passion for teaching and working with students of all ages and backgrounds
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to provide constructive feedback and encourage students to reach their full potential
Organizational and time-management skills
Flexibility to adapt to different teaching styles and approaches
Knowledge of art history and contemporary art trends is a plus
Must pass a background check
