Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop and maintain APIs that support the company's products and services.
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements.
Implement API solutions that are scalable, secure, and performant.
Continuously optimize and improve existing APIs to enhance performance and user experience.
Ensure high levels of API availability and reliability.
Identify and troubleshoot API issues, providing timely resolutions.
Implement and maintain API documentation for internal and external use.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices for API development.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end and back-end developers, to ensure seamless integration of APIs.
Contribute to the overall technical architecture and strategic direction of the API platform.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in API development.
Strong experience with API design principles and best practices.
Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
Experience with API management tools such as Apigee or Kong.
Familiarity with API security standards and protocols.
Experience with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
