Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $190000 - $224000
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Big Data Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Big Data Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data-driven solutions to meet our organization's growing needs. This role requires a strong understanding of big data technologies, excellent programming skills, and a passion for problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable and efficient data pipelines to process large volumes of data from various sources.
- Utilize big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases to store, process, and analyze data.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimize and tune existing data processes to improve performance and efficiency.
- Develop data models and schemas to support data analytics and reporting needs.
- Troubleshoot and debug data-related issues in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with the latest big data technologies and techniques and make recommendations for their implementation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in big data development.
- Strong experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
