Job Title: Senior ETL Developer

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $107 Per hour

Position Summary: As a Senior ETL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ETL solutions to support the organization's data integration needs. You will work closely with the data architecture team and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and design efficient ETL processes to transform and load data from various sources into the target data warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and implement end-to-end ETL solutions using industry standard ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or DataStage.
• Collaborate with data architecture team to understand data requirements and design data models for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Develop and maintain ETL process documentation including source to target mappings, data dictionaries, and data lineage.
• Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues and implement solutions to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes to improve data loading and query performance.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain ETL schedules and monitor ETL jobs to ensure timely and accurate data processing.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior ETL developers.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging ETL technologies and best practices and make recommendations for process improvements.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of ETL processes with other systems and applications.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ETL development using Informatica, Talend, or DataStage.
• In-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience working with large data sets.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to write complex queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with data modeling and ETL design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve data issues.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with cloud-based ETL tools such as AWS Glue or Azure Data Factory is a plus.
